The Company in collaboration with TARI Maruku is supporting the farmers to grow other 6 six types of beans (JESCA, Njano Uyole, Lyamungu 90, Njano grori, Selean 90 etc) which has been released by the Tanzania Research Insitute (TARI) in Kagera region which is based in Maruku in Bukoba district.
Our Efforts in Production
In 2017 KADERES had performed a lot of activities like recruitment of new farmers, Providing GAPS to targeted groups, conducting internal inspection/external inspection to farmers, developing demonstration plots to some famers, testing of soil through ARI MARUKU, beans seed distribution to farmers and trainings to farmers related to Agribusiness especially to beans producers.

Coffee
KPD PLC has managed to collect 225,178kg of coffee from the organic farmers and 724,117kg of Robust and 48821kg of Arabica from conventional farmers. In the 2018/2019 season, the company collected and bought over 1990Mt of cherry coffee of robusta coffee from the Fair trade and Organic certified members in Karagwe and Kyerwa districts

Beans
KADERES jointly with KILIMO TRUST, ARI MARUKU, CIAT was managed to implement Beans enterprises in Five SACCOS namely Kikakanya, Kyerwa, Kiosa,Kituntu and Igurwa, in Karagwe and Kyerwa districts being supported by KILIMO TRUST under conducive situations, with the intentions of upgrading and strengthening beans value chain.

Vanilla
KADERES has managed to maintain Organic and fair trade certification as an indicator the beneficiaries receives high prices for their Vanilla and premium for social projects.
